*the part where I shake it up

I ate all the wonderful delicious candies yesterday.  From Germany (See below)

Apparently I have a stress eating problem.
Big surprise considering my BMI suggests I have 25 pounds to use (in any cardio I want).
Note to self:

Self,
It may be unnecessary for Hubbend to bring back Haribo candies.  He did, after all, bring you back much much better presents.  Such as:
THIS
and
THESE

Please remember that just because Chickadee is all right and not the cause of this stress, does not mean you are immune to food and it's enticing intoxication. You ARE stressed.  You are.

thankyouforyourattention,
JBS

But I do love them so very very much.
Once a year I think I will have to continue to put myself to the moderation test.
They are gone now, out of reach and out of temptation.
Germany is, after all, very far away.
Today is a new day.
Time to shake my thang into a new groove.

When it comes to a special occasion, what do you do?

  1. Shake it, Lady!

I would have totally done the same thing with the candy, telling myself, as I quickly scarfed them, "better get this temptation out of the house asap!" Seriously, I've done it many times. Ugh.

Next time you find yourself going for food out of stress, run and get your prezzies and play with them instead! Hubbend is so sweet. =)

    Miss you and love you!

  2. Germany candy requires un-moderated eating. After all, that country may cease to exist in the future, just like what happened to Czechoslovakia. In 1993, Czechoslovakia split in two, to become Czech Republic and Slovakia. So there. That's scientific evidence. Eat the German candy before Germany goes under.

  4. I hope to get to the place of balance where I can enjoy special occasions and not binge before or after. (Yes, I use them as an excuse to start overeating ahead of time too. Post on this coming soon. Sigh.)

  5. Way to recognize your weaknesses. If it were me I would have totally gone for some German chocolate!

  6. We have Haribos in every little market but they are still German candies. So... do I eat them too without the moderation :) cos if I can, I might enjoy that!

  7. Surely one little packet of delish can't be that bad? Can it? Nah. You'll be right JBS.

It's Here

We got the moving truck rather unexpectedly. It's more expensive than Mr. Survival planned, so we're doing a lot of lifting, cardio, and squats. No. We're not doing the bootcamp in a trailer. We ARE moving things to the new garage, since we can't move in yet, but they're being kind enough to let us dump in a storage manner. Sorry. I'll have to beg your forgiveness and promise to update you. Eventually.

Flying With Concrete

Today I wanted to write about my dreams. Full of hope and bliss and fulfillment. Yeah, I sound about as light as a bucket of cement. Ready to fly away. Hang on, while I toss out the top of the pile. Maybe that will help me find my lofty aspirations. Nope. Thing is, I'm remembering today that I'm afraid of heights. Really. Once Hubbend made me climb up three stories of scaffolding. Broke it all down for me and left me no other choice. Made me feel irreplaceable. Yes, we must remember that I am crazy friends. Leave it to me to feel important by being told to go up a towering structure of death. I did it though. And I even wired a speaker while I was up there. But I'm still afraid of heights. So. Do you wanna help me out today? For every comment that tells me something someone wants to be able to do that they can't do now I will do one minute of exercise. Really. Because of my child care situation, it will have to be tomorrow morning. So have at it. ...

Hippity Hop

I hope it doesn't matter that it's been a week or so since my post on her...but I do have a fabulous special needs daughter.   THIS   and   THAT   are my most recent musings on Special Needs parenting. I'm not sure what I think about either one. It's about being out in public.   Thanks to Sunday at Adventures in Extreme Parenthood   I can handle this blog hop on a week as crazy as this.  I'm excited to visit all these excellent blogs. Stay tuned next week though, for updates on Chickadee's G-tube surgery, moving and The Beast and it's sugar-free diet.  Thanks for playing along at home. I really couldn't do it without you all. Oh, and visit my Facebook Page to see how my weigh-in went this week for GAG.   **I just figured out that  Super Mommy to the Rescue  and Autism Learning Felt  are the sponsoring blogs.  Please follow them if you link up!
