Sugar Award and your Questions

The award rules:
  • Thank the person who gave you the Sugar Doll award.

  • Write why you were given the award.

  • Pass the award on to 5 bloggers who have made your life a little sweeter and write how they have done that.

  • Notify them of the award.
My favorite wise-cracker Leslie who has been so supportive, that she's even made me cry a couple of times. In the good way. I don't think Leslie could ever hurt someone on purpose. She's working on being the New Kneelable Wonder and has more wisdom in her pinkie than most people I know. Put together. So head over there, because it's just oozing all over the place and all you have to do is brush it with you mouse and presto! You're a better person.

Yes. She is that good. REALLY. Leslie, you have a quiz later on that paragraph. I know you skim compliments. Thank you so much.

Also, Matt @ Lots to Lose gave me this award this last night and I found it today. Sorry it took me till this evening to post it. Matt is inspiring because he is keeping up his normal life and changing it to suit ALL of his needs. Not just weightloss, or familial, or vocation. All. Also, Matt consistently hits 10,000 steps every day? It's true. I left him a proof link in his comments over the weekend. Go check it out.

So, for five bloggers to pass this award onto, I'm going to give it to some of the wonderful new blogs I met at FitBloggin'. Because I've given a lot of you awards several times and you're starting to hate me. Because you all know I like to spread the love and share new wonderful people.

So here we go:
  • Darlene Chrisholm at Confessions of a Dieter
  • She was so much fun to eat lunch with and so sweet to me. I'm kind of a dork-as you might have noticed-so it was extra nice of her!
  • Heather Hurd at SkinnySushi
Heather comforted me and tapped me on the back when it felt like the wasabi sauce was going to RIP MY BRAINS OUT. She told me it was fast, and she was right. She was also very talkative and nice. We sat together for lunch and a couple of the sessions.
  • Shareen at Former Fat Chick
She was gregarious and funny. Her smile is contagious, and her description of her site is fascinating. More like a video game than a web site she says.
  • Trayce W. Skogstad at Yours...TrulyTrayce
I'll be perfectly honest. She is gorgeous. And friendly and fun. She is always on the Twitter board coming up with something fun and inviting everybody to do it. FOLLOW HER ON TWITTER!
  • Monique on Twitter as FitInMyHeart
She made me feel like I was her best and only friend at the conference whenever I saw her. Plus, she is just a funny gal. I was laughing obnoxiously loud every time I was around her. I could go on and on. Here is her website footdr69.wordpress.com
So, thanks again to Leslie, and to these wonderful ladies for making my trip fabulous. MrsFatass, Steve, Fitarella, and MizFit, I really do love you. Really. I'll catch you next time. I promise.

As for your questions . . . I confess I'm writing this Sunday morning at the hotel in Baltimore and buying me some time to recover at home. The last thing the fam is going to want me to do when I get home is to hop on the computer. So, I'll blog about those tomorrow. Forgive me? Tell me what you think about these blogs, or how your weekend went?

  3. Thank you so much for the very kind words - I've read through them twice so am prepared for your evil pop quiz. You made me proud calling me a wisecracker! Sometimes I'll have myself cracking up, and no one else seems to get it.

So glad you had such a positive experience at FitBloggin'. If it's always in Baltimore, I'm going to get my dead ass there next year, come hell or high water.

Will check out the blogs of your award recipients...good reading for today. I go back to work on Friday (quake quake) so I have to get all my leisure engineering in over these 4 days!

It's Here

We got the moving truck rather unexpectedly. It's more expensive than Mr. Survival planned, so we're doing a lot of lifting, cardio, and squats. No. We're not doing the bootcamp in a trailer. We ARE moving things to the new garage, since we can't move in yet, but they're being kind enough to let us dump in a storage manner. Sorry. I'll have to beg your forgiveness and promise to update you. Eventually.

Flying With Concrete

Today I wanted to write about my dreams. Full of hope and bliss and fulfillment. Yeah, I sound about as light as a bucket of cement. Ready to fly away. Hang on, while I toss out the top of the pile. Maybe that will help me find my lofty aspirations. Nope. Thing is, I'm remembering today that I'm afraid of heights. Really. Once Hubbend made me climb up three stories of scaffolding. Broke it all down for me and left me no other choice. Made me feel irreplaceable. Yes, we must remember that I am crazy friends. Leave it to me to feel important by being told to go up a towering structure of death. I did it though. And I even wired a speaker while I was up there. But I'm still afraid of heights. So. Do you wanna help me out today? For every comment that tells me something someone wants to be able to do that they can't do now I will do one minute of exercise. Really. Because of my child care situation, it will have to be tomorrow morning. So have at it. ...

Hippity Hop

I hope it doesn't matter that it's been a week or so since my post on her...but I do have a fabulous special needs daughter.   THIS   and   THAT   are my most recent musings on Special Needs parenting. I'm not sure what I think about either one. It's about being out in public.   Thanks to Sunday at Adventures in Extreme Parenthood   I can handle this blog hop on a week as crazy as this.  I'm excited to visit all these excellent blogs. Stay tuned next week though, for updates on Chickadee's G-tube surgery, moving and The Beast and it's sugar-free diet.  Thanks for playing along at home. I really couldn't do it without you all. Oh, and visit my Facebook Page to see how my weigh-in went this week for GAG.   **I just figured out that  Super Mommy to the Rescue  and Autism Learning Felt  are the sponsoring blogs.  Please follow them if you link up!
