We didn't want to worry everyone. Okay, scratch that. I didn't want to worry anyone. Chickadee? She'd have shouted it at you. Guarantee it. But, since I provide the talking in this relationship...Poor girl.
She's been sick. Mighty mighty sick. The kind that leaves Mr.Survival and I with dark circles under our eyes, and her chest rattling. She has a hard time swallowing thin liquids. So, when the congestion of this particular flu cleared out that was scary. For both of us.
But she's better! Well, better to the point that I'm not scared anymore. I'm thinking about considering that maybe she'll go to Preschool tomorrow. So, that means she is a LOT better than what she was.
I am snatching meals and sleep, she needs to have me visible most of the time so she doesn't get terrified. It's hard for her to be alone. But...it looks like that won't be a problem for much longer!
After our dog is trained specifically for Chickadee for a period of months, we will have our Service Dog! It's definitely a reality now. We'll let you know when it happens!
Please remember to donate for Chickadee's therapy dog.
I'm so glad she's feeling better. Big hugs to your little one. You're all in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for your family and Chickadee!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am glad she is feeling better. And that you are getting some sleep and food.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased to hear she is feeling a bit better. So sorry to hear she was sick in the first place. Take care JBS. I hope you get some quality rest (both physical and in mind) soon ...
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad she is feeling better. ::hugs::
ReplyDeletehmmm
ReplyDeleteI wanna chastise you for not leaning on me---but I shall resist.
this time.
Yay feeling better. Sam's been sick once so far and it's so hard to just watch you child be sick and know your doing all you can but it can't make her better with a snap of your fingers.
ReplyDeleteSo what type of dog are you getting? Lab, Retriever, Shepard? I know how important the connection is between the disabled and animals. My cats know when I need extra loving because my pain level gets too high.
Hooray that she's better and hooray she's getting her dog!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad she's perking up. And she couldn't be more adorable - oh my goodness!
ReplyDeleteSo, what are you going to name the canine?
what a little sweet heart! I am glad she is on the mend!
ReplyDeleteI don't care what you think you think sometimes. You're a good mommy always. Like super hero-ish levels. This doggy thing is a fantastic (lightening-fast) miracle.
