Tunnel Vision

I got 14 miles last week.  I did my abs twice.  I think that's pretty darn good. It was a hard hard week.  I didn't meet my goals.  But I'm not disappointed.  It took every bit of discipline I had to get those miles in.  It is times like these when Chickadee's situation combines with normal life stressors when I am excessively proud of myself for hanging on and ploughing through.

It is tough to get up and out of bed some days, especially when Chickadee throws late night parties two or three times a week.  Or when she gets sick and keeps me worried all night.  Most of all when Hubbend throws me a fabulous birthday party half the night away.  Just my style.

This week I wish to shoot for the moon as well. Twenty miles and 3 sessions on my abs.  It's gonna be another tough week, but I'll do my best.

Tell me about you!  What was your accomplishment for last week?  What is your plan for this week?

  2. Well, let's see. My biggest accomplishment last week was almost finishing the semester.

My biggest accomplishment will be actually finishing the semester.

My biggest accomplishment next week will be taking a break before starting next semester.

Are we sensing a pattern here?

  3. Good for you! My exercise has been slipping off a bit and I have no excuses. Time to get my rear in gear again.

  4. Weight-loss wise, I accomplished nothing last week. I maintained my weight, but through no good action of my own, so I don't feel that I can claim that one. I did, however, pull of a baptism for my second daughter, complete with after-party of homemade tacos, salsa verde, pico de gallo, beans, and coconut cake (obviously part of what helped me to not accomplish anything weight-lossy.)

This week I will just strive to be better.

  6. Awesome job on your goals last week with all the late night parties and all!

Sleep deprivation is the worse for me. I just need my beauty sleep.

Last week my achievement was getting through the birthday celebration mind set with out gaining weight, with out feeling deprived and with out binge eating!

  7. My biggest accomplishment was getting out of bed today...beyond that...not so much of anything except living in denial....tomorrow will be better. I'm so proud of you.

It's Here

We got the moving truck rather unexpectedly. It's more expensive than Mr. Survival planned, so we're doing a lot of lifting, cardio, and squats. No. We're not doing the bootcamp in a trailer. We ARE moving things to the new garage, since we can't move in yet, but they're being kind enough to let us dump in a storage manner. Sorry. I'll have to beg your forgiveness and promise to update you. Eventually.

Flying With Concrete

Today I wanted to write about my dreams. Full of hope and bliss and fulfillment. Yeah, I sound about as light as a bucket of cement. Ready to fly away. Hang on, while I toss out the top of the pile. Maybe that will help me find my lofty aspirations. Nope. Thing is, I'm remembering today that I'm afraid of heights. Really. Once Hubbend made me climb up three stories of scaffolding. Broke it all down for me and left me no other choice. Made me feel irreplaceable. Yes, we must remember that I am crazy friends. Leave it to me to feel important by being told to go up a towering structure of death. I did it though. And I even wired a speaker while I was up there. But I'm still afraid of heights. So. Do you wanna help me out today? For every comment that tells me something someone wants to be able to do that they can't do now I will do one minute of exercise. Really. Because of my child care situation, it will have to be tomorrow morning. So have at it. ...

Hippity Hop

I hope it doesn't matter that it's been a week or so since my post on her...but I do have a fabulous special needs daughter.   THIS   and   THAT   are my most recent musings on Special Needs parenting. I'm not sure what I think about either one. It's about being out in public.   Thanks to Sunday at Adventures in Extreme Parenthood   I can handle this blog hop on a week as crazy as this.  I'm excited to visit all these excellent blogs. Stay tuned next week though, for updates on Chickadee's G-tube surgery, moving and The Beast and it's sugar-free diet.  Thanks for playing along at home. I really couldn't do it without you all. Oh, and visit my Facebook Page to see how my weigh-in went this week for GAG.   **I just figured out that  Super Mommy to the Rescue  and Autism Learning Felt  are the sponsoring blogs.  Please follow them if you link up!
