Yesterday was another out-of-house day. Miss THANG had ballet. Beansprout had storytime at the library and Chickadee was supposed to have an eye doctor appointment. My bad. I think it was a subconscious slip sabotaging me. My experience there was less than stellar.
To top it all off my house was again to be occupied and unavailable. We went shopping. For our very own healthy snack pack for the trunk. I didn't go off! I did not get to exercise, but it was a pretty good day. I've got exercise done today though, and I'm excited for another day.
Maybe I'll clean my house (Don't tell Kat and Lisa it isn't clean yet!)
I just read your profile and the part about "revealing the person you thought you left behind" really hits home for me. I'm in that place now. I get tired of the struggle. But here I go again.
ReplyDelete@kathyj333- Oh me too. You just brightened my day though. Misery loves company? Or a friend for the difficult journey ahead? Since I'm choosing to try to be positive, I'd say friend. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt will try not to ell them that your house isn't clean. I haven't even TRIED to clean my this week because my daycare kids just trash it anyway... lol

Hi Friend -
ReplyDeleteSounds like more positives working than negs. I love your names for your kiddos - I still call mine by their kiddo names and they are all in their 20s!
My house is far from clean and there are only 2 of us and the dog. No excuse, and I ain't sweatin' it.
Thanks for your comment today - I loved your phrase "recalibrating our identities". Wish I'd thought of that!
I always count cleaning my house as exercise. LOL!
ReplyDeleteToo funny :) You better get on that cleaing missy...haha.
ReplyDeleteDays where your running so many directions is exhausting physically and mentally. When my son was younger, he had chronic ear infections, speech, and eye issues. I felt like I lived at one doctors office or another.
@Lisa- Thanks-though Lisa "one Mom's Weight Loss" found me out anyway. :P I like you're blog a lot. You are inspiring! Thanks for the comment.
ReplyDelete@Leslie- I'm glad there's someone else (+Lisa "inweighovermyhead", I can't forget) that is relaxed in their stance. I find it's healthier mentally for me if I go easy and coast until the momentum slows down enough to catch up. Did I say "recalibrating our identities"? Good thing you reminded me!
@karen@fitnessjourney- I knew you were amazing! You look great for 44. I think you look more my age. I might look more your age. Watch out though! That's changing.
@Lisa"One Mom's Weight Loss"- Nooooooo! You found me! Thanks for the validation. I'm working on it . . .
o thats great that he liked my pic of umizoomi
ReplyDeleteya i know isnt it wonderful when they accomplish something like that
something that people take for granted everyday with their kids like finishing a stupid puzzle
right?
it makes our day the greatest day lol
@BEE- I know. It just makes me smile and happy inside. We beat the day today. You know? Even if it's just communicating her diaper needs changing. Or sitting up. Or doing a puzzle. :)
ReplyDeleteWe all need those breaks some time. Cleaning for me is like trying to clean up a wet floor from a leaky roof while it's still raining.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm home all day, I homeschool. Since I'm busy homeschooling I can't stop to clean...or the teaching doesn't get done. But since we are home to make a mess...but not to clean the mess, I find I clean a LOT more than most people do. So all day long I'm cleaning during every break or free moment.
Sorry I'm rambling!
@Michelle- I hear you. I need to train my family better to clean up their own messes. I swear, when Miss THANG gets home, the wake of her whirlwind can cover every square inch of my house! My hubbend's ten pound pants (phone, wallet, keys, change purse, papers) and shoes end up like little mole hills too.
ReplyDeleteKnow a good nagging curriculum?
