We got the moving truck rather unexpectedly. It's more expensive than Mr. Survival planned, so we're doing a lot of lifting, cardio, and squats. No. We're not doing the bootcamp in a trailer. We ARE moving things to the new garage, since we can't move in yet, but they're being kind enough to let us dump in a storage manner. Sorry. I'll have to beg your forgiveness and promise to update you. Eventually.
The life of a train wrecked woman, trying to get back on track.

Awww .2 isn't bad though! Sometimes you just need to pee then re weigh yourself!
ReplyDeleteSorry :( Hope you feel better...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the gain. Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteBecause Im here for you too: (Your comment from my weigh in post): You're right, it doesn't own you and you WILL ride off into the sunset a success. You just have to do it for today. Tomorrow will take care of itself.
ReplyDeleteWe can do this!
ladies! THANK YOU!
ReplyDelete@Nikki-thanks. I'm really obsessive about my weigh-in unfortunately. I do it in the morning, after I pee and before I eat or have a drink. Last week I may have also done it after exercising and taking a dump. Course, I may just be trying to feel better. :)
@Lisa"One Mom's Weight Loss"-Thank you. I'm just gonna lay low for the weekend.
@Fit Mommy-Thank you. I feel like a whiner. I usually do when I'm sick. Thanks for indulging me and helping me feel better.
@Kristina-You may have just given me the oomph I needed to not just blow it today. I'm going to do my best today, in spite of the SICK. Thanks so much.
Don't be so hard on yourself over your weight. I find that if I think about eating healthy in order to feel better, I'm more likely to do it than if I think about my weight.
ReplyDelete@Matthew Isaacson- You are right. That is a wonderfully healthy perspective. I need to get that philosophy into my actions and general frame of mind. Especially when I'm challenged! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGains are not good, they just aren't anything we like to talk about. Now turn it around, refocuse on this week and get back to basics and I am sure next week's weigh in will be a big one. Martine x
ReplyDeleteStart figuring out body fat percentage with each weigh in, too....so you can really see what is going on. It will help with morale!
ReplyDeleteI answered your protein question over on my blog. Hope it helps! Meat/fish is usually the most effective protein....but there are other options! Hang in there. We're all in this together!
@Martine- Thank you. It's nice to have some positive reinforcement. I'm refocusing-through the haziness-and getting back in the groove.
ReplyDelete@Greta from www.bigbottomblogger.blogspot.com- I think you're right. I'm sure I'm making headway there. I read back on your plateau buster post, and emailed it to myself. I think it's a real gold mine. Also, thanks for the pointers. Whey protein is something I hadn't thought about before. Hafta try it.
Don't be sad! A certain amount of fluctuation is normal. And even if it's because you had a real "slip" it's probably just water weight gain which will come off as soon as you get back on track. Be gentle with yourself. Do some self nurturing. I identified so much with your sugar post the other day, when you talked about taking care of everybody else and in the same breath talked about needing sugar. They are related. It's no coincidence. When we give until we are bone dry, the simplest, easiest way of trying to take care of our own needs is to put something in our mouths, and if its sugar, all the faster the reward. Unfortunately, after the reward comes the kick in the head. We always forget about that when we get the 10 seconds of satisfaction. Give yourself a nice little gift today (call a supportive friend, spend some time in nature, spend time doing something you love to do) - you know best what brings you joy - YOU DESERVE IT!
ReplyDeleteHey Journey,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the uplifting comment. It looks like we're both in the same range of bmi! I about threw up when I saw that I was listed as "obese"! I surely don't feel like I am, but I suppose it depends on where your fatty areas are.
Good to know someone else is having a hard time with their sweet tooth. :) I'll definitely be following your progress. )
