I meant to walk on Saturday. I didn't.
I was busy growling around my family. Husband was working on work, and working on church, working on living arrangements other than these and generally absent. I was trying to get my kids to do their chores unsupervised. At least unsupervised compared to usual. I was trying to get to a 10 minute check-up. It did NOT work.
Then came the babysitting I'd committed to do, so we can continue our babysitting swap for dates. It wasn't bad.
I ate better than BEFORE, but terrible for AFTER. I needed sugar. Not just sugar, I needed chocolate too. I suppose that when I feel taken advantage of, or over-burdened even [especially] when I've done it to myself. I made brownies and did not go to the grocery store and buy ice cream as planned. By myself, while stressed. Here's the kicker: I had my shoes and coat on with keys in hand. Then this project flashed a final time through my mind. *sigh* So, no ice cream with gooey-just enough-brownies like fudge melting together. Yay! But yes to brownies. Hiss! I only ate two. Boo!
Saturday night I stayed up until midnight. I have Master Your Metabolism from my library, and that is part of why I have been so grumpy. So, I tried to get twice as much alone time by watching Vanished on Hulu and reading at the same time. I think I only followed the plot of the show and got the high points of the book. At two thirty my daughter woke up and was shrieking with glee. Husband had to finish working on church things in the morning. So, being supportive and chagrinned that I was so irresponsible as to stay up so late, I retired with her to the guest bedroom. We stayed up for an hour and a half, and what felt like all of eternity. She went to sleep (!) and then woke up a few seconds later. I tried to get her back to sleep for a couple more years and finally got up to see what time it was. Completely reasonable time to wake up. *growl*
Needless to say, I was a bit-twitch, twitch-tense. Sunday did not go well. But I did not devour the refrigerator when we arrived home at three. I did resent my husband watching Jane Austen on hulu while I slaved in the kitchen making something I wanted. Blargh!
I am relieved to report that I do not need to adjust my medications. No, the half pound weight gain in spite of angelic Sunday behavior and possibly all the baring of my teeth has some other explanation. Yes, my period started today. Whew! I was starting to think it was me. *_*
I promise to exercise after the therapist comes and works with my daughter.
