I Promise- I Won't Eat it, I Just Want to Smell It

Yesterday I couldn't shake the need for sugar. I was haunted by it. Dealing with the aftermath of being gone for a day, I had dishes to catch up on, laundry to do, and kids in need of comfort. A kind of comfort that can only be sated by my complete, total and undivided attention.

I have difficulty concentrating when there are two therapists to debrief, and recommendations to digest. This does not add up to a happy family. Mommy + distraction = clingy fambly.

Sugar. Makes it all better. Or so says my irrational BEFORE logic. So says me, myself now. Take away my fats, take away my chocolate, but DON'T TOUCH MY SUGAR!!!

I promise, I'm putting the bat down.

It's a good thing I'm blogging. Withdrawal anyone?

Comments

  1. LOL. I hear ya. I went on Atkins once and actually went through withdrawals from going off the sugars, headaches, cranky...nasty stuff!

  3. Sugar is the first thing I turn to when I'm stressed or depressed. Ugh. I need therapy.

  4. @KatDoesDiets-What did you do? Help me!

@Lisa-send me some! Some stupid person threw all mine out!

@kathyj333-do you know a good therapist? I only have psychsters that prescribe, not delve. I'm stressed, and depressed too. Plus I have a few mental issues that are documented ... lol. Well gotta keep truckin. It's worked so far. (ignoring 52# here)

  6. Sugar is so addictive. I'm still not feeling a lot of energy since I dropped my sugars to less than 15 a day. I guess it takes time...lots of time. LOL

  8. @Fit Mommy-I think you're right. It took me months of weaning, crash and burn last time. But it was the only way I lost the last ten pounds last time. Smack me if I crash. K?

@Kristina-I'm glad your better from your cold turkey. I'm trying to tough it out, but it's still been tough today. Thank you! I hope you enjoy it.

  9. This makes me think of the movie Dodgeball when the owner of Globa-gym would sniff and lick pizza and desserts and then electrocute himself...hahaha! I think that kind of therapy may be a tad bit extreme though. Oh, and I LOVE my Snuggie!

  10. @Julie V.-You know if it stops these cravings ... electroshock might be worth looking into. I might have to get a Snuggie as a gift.

  11. XD!! Shock therapy, eh? I've heard the brain absolutely needs simple carbohydrates, so...you might shoot me...but does fruit work? I know sometimes if I just drink water and eat something healthy sweet it helps. But, I'm sure you know all that. >_< *exits*

It's Here

We got the moving truck rather unexpectedly. It's more expensive than Mr. Survival planned, so we're doing a lot of lifting, cardio, and squats. No. We're not doing the bootcamp in a trailer. We ARE moving things to the new garage, since we can't move in yet, but they're being kind enough to let us dump in a storage manner. Sorry. I'll have to beg your forgiveness and promise to update you. Eventually.

I Found True Happiness

It feels like I've become a detached voice, writing but not feeling on this blog.  I'm living a lot of things that don't fit neatly into my bloggable ownership file. Even now, I've spent an hour with this tab open to write a new post and I've done absolutely everything else possible.  For once I can't put a finger on what I'm feeling.  I don't fit into any definable box. On one hand, I'm spending an hour in therapy with Chickadee and another hour round trip three times a week. Mr. Survival is fighting off unemployment blues. We cannot shake things up and have me go to work. I'm not going to go to FitBloggin'11 . But, on the other hand, Chickadee is STANDING in the stander for minutes instead of seconds! Chickadee is grasping things momentarily for the first time in eighteen months. I'm so in love with Mr. Survival it's unbelievable. We are tighter as a family than we ever have been. I'm stressed and frustrated.  I...

Flying With Concrete

Today I wanted to write about my dreams. Full of hope and bliss and fulfillment. Yeah, I sound about as light as a bucket of cement. Ready to fly away. Hang on, while I toss out the top of the pile. Maybe that will help me find my lofty aspirations. Nope. Thing is, I'm remembering today that I'm afraid of heights. Really. Once Hubbend made me climb up three stories of scaffolding. Broke it all down for me and left me no other choice. Made me feel irreplaceable. Yes, we must remember that I am crazy friends. Leave it to me to feel important by being told to go up a towering structure of death. I did it though. And I even wired a speaker while I was up there. But I'm still afraid of heights. So. Do you wanna help me out today? For every comment that tells me something someone wants to be able to do that they can't do now I will do one minute of exercise. Really. Because of my child care situation, it will have to be tomorrow morning. So have at it. ...
